ShowerWatch

Taking a shower is great. It’s so easy to forget about time and if we do, we use a lot of water.

The ShowerWatch is a stylish 4-minute shower timer which creates awareness of time in the shower and stimulates conscious use of water.

Daily water use

Inside the home most water is used in the bathroom. The average Australian is taking an eight minute shower. With a water-saving showerhead around 70 litres of water are used for each shower.  Without one, it’s a whopping 120 litres of water.

A sense of time

Taking a shower is great. It wakes you up in the morning and washes away your daily worries in the evening. It warms you up in winter and is refreshing in summer. It’s so easy to forget about time, and it means that we use a lot of water.

At Half a Teaspoon® we believe that by simply creating awareness of time in the shower, we will use water more consciously. The Half a Teaspoon® ShowerWatch provides you with a four-minute time slot - the recommended shower time of most water companies and governments.

A conscious choice

The ShowerWatch is not connected to the tap. It does not start automatically by the sound of water nor does it shut down the water supply. If you want to continue your shower after the four minutes is up, you can. The use of the ShowerWatch is voluntary - it is a conscious choice!
